About
Sylvia Vasquez
I am a Certified Biofield Tuning Practitioner, and I have been working with sound and frequency for over four years.
My work focuses on helping the body return to balance through the use of tuning forks and frequency, supporting the release of tension, calming the nervous system, and restoring a more regulated, harmonic state.
My Path Into This Work
In many ways, this path feels like something I was always being guided toward.
My mother being a musician and my father being a writer, I have always embraced both music and words. It's natural and synchronistic that this path found me.
Today, many researchers are exploring how frequency—and even the sounds and words we use—can influence the body in meaningful ways. I find this endlessly fascinating, and I feel a deep alignment with this field of study and practice.
A Turning Point
My journey into sound therapy became very personal.
A few years ago, I suffered a fall that severely injured my left shoulder. The pain became constant and debilitating. I lost mobility in my arm, my muscles began to atrophy, and I was facing surgery. I was relying on pain medication, which I strongly prefer to avoid.
Around that time, I came across a YouTube video by Eileen Day McKusick; it was a group tuning. I began listening to it, and interestingly, I fell asleep during the recording. When it was over I woke up, and noticed a shift—my arm had slightly more movement, and the pain had decreased.
Over the following days, I listened a couple more times. Within a short time, my condition improved to the point that surgery was no longer necessary. While my shoulder is not perfect, it is fully manageable—and the experience was profound enough to change the direction of my life.
I knew I needed to understand this work more deeply. And I knew I wanted to help others experience what I had experienced.
My Work Today
As a Biofield Tuning Practitioner, I work with tuning forks and frequency to support the body’s natural ability to restore balance. This work brings the electromagnetic field into balance, so the body can heal itself.
This will mean different things for different people. Often times it will relieve pain, or help with sleep, and increase REM sleep. I have had clients who tell me their blood sugar and/or blood pressure lowers after sessions.
In my practice, I have seen meaningful changes in clients in areas such as:
-
stress and anxiety
-
sleep quality
-
pain reduction
-
overall sense of well-being
Each session is unique, but the intention is always the same: to support the body in returning to a more balanced, coherent state.
A Personal Note
Before stepping fully into this work, I spent many years as a chef. I still love to cook and create fabulous culinary experiences for others, and that background continues to inform how I work today—present, attentive, and intuitive, while remaining grounded and practical.
I am also deeply interested in personal growth, transformation and manifestation. As co-author of The Power to Manifest, I explore how intention, awareness, and consistent practice can create meaningful change. In my experience, transformation is not about quick fixes—it is about engagement, clarity, and staying connected to the process over time.
A key part of that process is connection—both within ourselves and with others. I believe that healing and growth are supported through awareness, collaboration and meaningful connection with community.
Clients often tell me that I am easy to talk to and that they feel at ease in sessions. Creating a safe, grounded space is something I value deeply.
I am also a grandmother, and being close to my grandchildren as well as my adult offspring is one of the most important parts of my life. Family, connection, and shared experience are everything.
